A Knoxville man has been arrested on a first-degree murder charge following a domestic dispute in which the man’s father was strangled to death, according to the Knoxville Police Department. Joshua Dozier, 24, of Knoxville, was arrested on Saturday night after police say he drove to his father’s apartment at 206 Gayview Drive in South Knoxville and killed his father, Douglas Dozier, 48, of Knoxville, during a fight.
Ronnie Lucas Wilson, suspected of shooting Knoxville Police Officer Jay Williams Thursday evening, was captured in Blount County shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday. "He was located at an abandoned residence on Calderwood Highway," Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong announced on Facebook.
Police say a man went on a shooting spree in North Nashville, killing two young sisters and then carjacked and killed an elderly man. Metro Police arrested 24-year-old Queshan Brooks on Friday. The Tennessean reports Brooks first opened fire on his stepmother and her two daughters around 4:15 p.m. at their home. The girls, 5-year-old Samaii Daniel and 8-year-old Sammarre Daniel, died from gunshot wounds to the head.
